Last month saw NUS’ Annual Conference reject the Labour sponsored attacks on democracy in our national Union. Despite the massive official propaganda effort and the back door tricks of Gemma Tumelty, Wes Streeting, Stephen Brown and co, delegates to Conference saw the Governance Review for what it was - an attempt to remove the democracy and accountability of our national leadership just before the education funding review kicks off.

Now that we have defeated these attacks on our democracy, we have to ensure the NUS becomes a Union that fights for a better world. That means forcing our national leadership to take a lead on the Free Education campaign, forcing them to Stop the War and forcing them to build a movement against Climate Change. Together we can build a campaigning NUS!
